History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

Our History

H. Jack Buzard began a career in funeral service while a sophomore in high school in 1960. For years he was associated with his friend and mentor, Fred S. Bowser of Parker, PA. Following college, mortuary school, internship, and service in the U.S. Army (mortuary affairs in DaNang, RVN), a funeral home was established by Buzard in Eau Claire, Butler County, PA on Sept. 17th, 1972. Following the death of Mr. And Mrs. Bowser in a funeral home fire in 1977, a second funeral home was established on Oct. 17th, 1977 in Parker, Armstrong County, PA. In the summer of 2002, both funeral homes were incorporated under the name of H. Jack Buzard Funeral Homes, Inc.

The Buzard name has been constantly associated with service to those in need. Detail to individual requests have always been a primary goal of Buzard and his associates. H. Jack Buzard has always worked diligently with families to counsel and provide the services that they desire at the time of a loss of a loved one.

The physical characteristics of the Eau Claire and Parker facilities are individual to each town, however they share certain characteristics. Both funeral homes are kept impecably clean at all times and the grounds are well maintained year-round. Attention is given to provide books of comfort, spirtual guidance, and history to be placed throughout the facilities for people to ponder as they spend time at Buzard’s. Also, well received remarks by families to Buzard concerning art and antique collections for people to enjoy, encourage the Buzards to constantly keep adding new memorabilia.

H. Jack Buzard believes in pre-need arrangements, at-need service, and follow-up care are essential services to be provided in order to earn and retain their trust. Buzard believes that a funeral must be an experience based upon the life that has past, and a foundation for those left behind upon which to build.
