Judith "Judie" Botz

Judith “Judie” Botz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, entered her heavenly home on December 7th, surrounded by the love of her family. Though our hearts are deeply saddened, we rejoice knowing she is now resting in the presence of her Savior, whom she loved with her whole heart. Judie was born on November 25, 1938 to Byron and Mary McCall. She graduated from Parker High School before earning her degree in physical education from Slippery Rock Teacher’s College. She began her teaching career at Union High School from 1960–1963 and later taught at AC Valley, where she impacted countless students with her kindness, joy, and gift of encouragement. Throughout Ron’s many years of coaching at AC Valley, Judie was his most devoted and enthusiastic supporter—cheering on the athletes, the teams, and her husband with unmatched pride. On June 23, 1962, she married the love of her life, Ronald Botz, and together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and service. Judie had a heart that radiated Christ—gentle, encouraging, prayerful, and full of compassion. She enjoyed sending cards of encouragement, playing the piano, singing, doing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her family. She was a true prayer warrior whose intercession blessed many. Judie loved her Park Hill Church of God family dearly and was honored to serve for many years as President of the Women of the Church of God. Her leadership, compassion, and steady faith left a lasting impact on her church, community, and all who knew her. God blessed Ron and Judie with three daughters who were her greatest joy: Paula Wetzel (Dan) of Foxburg, Ronda Futcher (Joe) of Knoxville, TN, and Leah Hopkins (Rodney) of Louisa,VA. She adored her eight grandchildren: Marisa Futcher McCulloch, Logan Wetzel, Madison Futcher, Maraya Futcher Priest, Halee Wetzel Kondrich, Maddee Futcher Tangeman, Tyler Hopkins, and Alyssa Hopkins. She was also blessed with 10 precious great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. One of the greatest gifts God gave Judie was allowing her to see every one of her grandchildren graduate high school and to meet all of her great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love, prayer, and encouragement continues through each of them. Judie was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved granddaughter, Madison Futcher. She was also the last surviving member of the Bryon McCall family which included: Betty Dietz, Theda “Snook” McMahon, Norma “Tiny” Kriebel, Richard McCall, Dean McCall, Gerald McCall and Joseph McCall. Her life was a beautiful reflection of God’s love—marked by faithfulness, kindness, and a smile that could brighten any day. Though she will be deeply missed, we rest in the hope and promise of eternal life through Christ. Service Information Arrangements are entrusted to H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Parker. Visitation will be held at Park Hill Church of God on 3314 Lime Plant Road, West Freedom (Parker, PA) on Thursday, December 11th from 2–4 PM and 6–8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 12th at 11:00 AM at Park Hill Church of God on 3314 Lime Plant Road with Pastor Amy Callander officiating. “Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord. ” —Matthew 25:23 Intermittent will follow at Perryville Cemetery.
