C. Wayne Fair

C. WAYNE FAIR, 82, of Parker passed away Monday evening (01-13-14) at Clarion Hospital following a brief illness. Born in North Washington, Pa. on May 21, 1931, he was the son of the late Frank and Thelma Brown Fair. He was a graduate of the former Concord High School. Mr. Fair was affiliated with the Parker Presbyterian Church. Wayne was a fifty year-plus member and past master of Parker City-Allegheny Valley Lodge F.& A.M. #521. He served the City of Parker for nearly twenty years as Chief of Police. Mr. Fair was employed for over forty five years by Witco Chemical Co. (formerly Daugherty Refinery, and also L. Sonneborne Ref. ) of Petrolia. Working in many capacities at the refinery, he worked his way to traffic manager, and retired from the Bradford operation as corporate traffic manager for the entire company operations worldwide. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army serving from October 1952 to Oct. 1954. He served with the military police, and discharged with rank of corporal. Surviving are one daughter and husband: Sherre (Donald) McNany of Franklin; two sons and wives: Wayne and Lisa Fair and Eric and Deborah Fair, all of Parker; grandchildren: Erika Dawn McNany, Shala Rene (Steven) Barnes, Brooke Switzer, Levi Fair, Eric (Jessica) Fair II, Brian (Cecile) Fair, Julie (Clayton) Woody, and Kelly Watts; three step-grandchildren, two step-greatgrandchildren; two sisters: Ruth Fair Lynn of Butler and Sally Fair (Don) Huffman of Calif.; three brothers: Dale (Janet) Fair of North Washington, Rev. Earl (Glenda) Fair of Fairview (Petrolia), and Joe (Kay) Fair of Butler; number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene F. Marnic Fair, who passed away April 10, 2009. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So. Wayne Ave., Parker. Funeral service at 11:00 AM Friday in funeral home with Rev. Earl Fair, brother of Wayne, officiating. Burial in North Washington Union Cemetery, Butler Co. Member of F.& A.M. Lodge #521 of Parker will conduct services at 7:45 PM Thursday in the funeral home. Members of VFW and American Legion Posts of Parker will conduct services at 10:45 AM Friday at the funeral home.
