Wayne C. "Pappy" Douglass

October 10, 1925 - April 14, 2011

Wayne C. "Pappy" Douglass, 85, of Six Points(near Eau Claire), passed away at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville, Thursday 4/14/2011. He was born in Cherry Valley on October 10th, 1925, he was the son of the late George A. and Etta Aletha Scott Douglass. Wayne was a heavy equipment operator and was employed with the Western Hickory Coal Co. ,an avid outdoorsmen, he enjoyed spending time outside hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He his survived by his wife Margaret Douglass. His daughter Betty (Charles) Shaffer of Six Points, PA. Three sons: William L. (Earline) Douglass of Bicknell, IN.; David E. (Bonnie) of Emlenton, PA., and Duene R. (Donna) of Six Points, PA. Ten Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren with one on the way. As well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Flossie Mae Bennett Douglass who passed on June 22, 1986. One son: George Douglass and infant daughter Patty Douglass.Three brothers: Floyd, Arnold and Roy Douglass. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8PM Saturday the 16th at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Eau Claire (Main St.). Funeral Service will directly follow at 8PM.
