Lewis F. Pennington

LEWIS F. "Lew" PENNINGTON, 74, of Bruin passed away Tuesday morning (03-29-11) at Chicora Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Eldorado (Butler Co.), Pa. on September 3, 1936, he was the son of the late Frederick M. and Mildred Rea Pennington. Lew retired from the former Pullman-Standard of Butler with twenty seven plus years of service. He later was employed by the VFW of Parker and the Moose at Chicora. He was a social member of VFW at Parker, and he was a member and former officer of the Moose at Chicora. He was protestant by faith. Survived by his wife: Arlene Stewart Pennington; three sons: DeWayne Pennington of Bruin, Ralph (Sherrie) Pennington of Renfrew, and Larry (Margie) Pennington of Bruin; three grandchildren and one great grandchild; three sisters: Loretta (Richard) Rea of Middletown, Pa., Sonja (Russell) Cratty of Petrolia, and Randa (Walter) Anthony of Eldorado; three brothers: Clarence (Betty) Pennington of TN., Orrie Pennington of Petrolia, and Otis (Doreen) Pennington of Eldorado; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Gehrs. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So. Wayne Ave., Parker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillview Cemetery, Kepples Corners, Pa.
