Elizabeth (Byers) Wall Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Elizabeth “Ebbie” Wall, 90 of Emlenton, Pa. passed away Sunday morning at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Johnetta, Pa. on May 13, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bernice Flick Byers. Elizabeth was employed by Bell Telephone in New Kensington for a number of years. She was a member of the Park Hill Church of God in West Freedom where she belonged to The Women of The Church of God. She also enjoyed writing poetry and published four books of poetry. She was a member of the International Poetry Hall of Fame, and received various awards. Some of her poems are still available online at www.poets.com. She is survived by her husband LaVern Wall who she married in Springdale Pa. in 1946 by the Rev. Wesley Weisbrod. She also is survived by two sons, Robert (Nancy) Wall of Robuck, South Carolina and Leslie D. (Peggy) Wall of Bradenton,Fl. and one grandson George Wall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Godfrey and a brother, Robert Byers. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday at Park Hill Church of God,3314 Lime Plant Rd., West Freedom (Parker). Services will be held at Park Hill Church in West Freedom, with visitation from 9:30 to 10:00 and funeral service at 10:00. Officiating is Pastor Eric Mitchell.
