Shirley Jane Kifer Adams Overheim 85, of Grove City, formerly of Parker, PA., passed away early Friday Morning at Orchard Manor in Grove City. She was Born in Butler County on May 25, 1932 to the late Emery James and Elsie Mae McFadden Kifer. Shirley was the former owner of the Hemlock Inn in Emlenton and the Rosebud Restaurant in Parker. She retired as an CNA from Clairview Nursing and Rehab. Center in Sligo, PA. After retirement she did home health care taking care of Dr. and Mrs. Hartman as well as Dr. Colter and many other local residents. Above all her accomplishments, Shirley was best known for her fabulous homemade pies.
She is survived by her Two daughters: Donna K. (Larry) Stewart of Grove City; and Lori L. (Dan) Matthews of Manchester, TN. Her son: Robert C.(Margie) Adams of St. Petersburg, PA. Two Step-Daughters: Carla (John) Reagle of Franklin, PA; and Ann (Jeff) Barrett of Lower Burrell, PA.
Five Grandchildren: Jennifer (Bob) Holmes of Westernport, MD; Kimberly (Corey) Mingione of Harrisville, PA; Sharon, Christine and Robert Murray of Groton, CT.
Eight Step-Grandchildren: Larry L. (Crystal) Stewart Jr. of Grove City, PA; Timothy S. (Kathy) Stewart of Boyers, PA; Parker Barrett of Baltimore, MD; Sam Barrett of Birmingham, AL; Tiffany Cooper of Franklin, PA; Ashley (Justin) Attleberger of Oil City, PA; Shelly Kaltenbach of St. Petersburgh, PA; and James Best of Columbus, OH. Twelve Great Grandchildren: Misty A. Malone of Butler, PA; Brittany Holmes of Morgantown, WV; Eryn K Mingione of Grove City, PA; Megan R. Mingione of Harrisville, PA; Kara, Hailey, Myleigh Schlimegen of Groton, CT; Elijah Stewart of Boyers, PA; Krista, Khloe Stewart of Grove City, PA; Adalynn Attleberger of Oil City, PA; and Jennifer Reichard of Clarion, PA. Two Great Great Grandchildren: Evelynn Malone, of Bulter, PA; and Colt Allen Jr. of Grove City, PA.
A sister Louise Cook of Bulter, PA; a brother in law: Richard Overhiem of Parker, PA. as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband; Donald A. Adams in 1984, her second husband James Overheim in 2008. Three brothers: Raymond, Dale and Clair Kifer. Two sisters: Emogene Hindman and infant sister Virginia Kifer. An infant great grandson: Kamryn Raymondlee Stewart.
Friends will be received at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home in Parker on February 10 from 11am-1pm. Funeral service will be conducted at 1pm. Burial will take place in the Parker Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Ben Rihel Memorial Foundation C/O Farmers National Bank.
