PATRICIA STROUP DEAL DOBSON, 83, of Karns City, formerly of Eau Claire, Pa., passed away Wednesday evening at 6:10 P.M. at VNA In-Patient Hospice at Butler following an illness.
Born May 27, 1933 in Concord Twp., Butler County, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Ruth Armstrong Stroup. Patricia was a graduate of the Concord High School. She was married to the late John L. Deal Sr. on June 28, 1949, whom preceded her in death on July 8, 1996.
Patricia was protestant by faith. In her earlier years, Patricia was a former Powder Puff Racecar Driver. She was a life member of the Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Patricia was an avid bingo player and bowling enthusiast. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing. Patricia loved playing cards and was fond of puzzles. Later in life, Patricia married Thomas Dobson, whom also preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie (Blaine, Jr.) Wilson of Chicora, Beverly (Jim) Kusner of Karns City, Brenda (John) Stepp, Sr., of Ft. Worth, TX.; Three sons, John L. (Sherry) Deal Jr. of Eau Claire, Dean Edward (Cheryl) Deal of Boyers, Don (Pam) Deal of Karns City; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley (Richard) Wilson of Montana, Inez Whitmire of West Virginia; four brothers, Ken (Marie) Stroup, Terry (Bev) Stroup, Dave (Patty) Stroup, and Garry (Becky) Stroup; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Deal Sr., and second husband, Thomas Dobson.
