LUCILLE E. BUZARD DONALDSON, 87, of Evans City, Pa. passed away at 7:20 AM Sunday morning at VNA In-Patient Hospice in Butler following a period of declining health.
Born in Upper Hillville, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis E. and Treva V. Logan Buzard.
She married to Thomas Martin “Bud” Donaldson, Jr. who survives.
She was a 1947 graduate of the former Parker High School, attended the former Butler Hospital School of Nursing, later became an LPN, and at the age of fifty-six earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Gerontology from Slippery Rock State College (now University).
She enjoyed many years in the employment of the late Dr. Paul Maust, MD, of Butler.
Lucille was a dedicated Christian, attending various churches in the county, but heart was always with North Main Street Church of God. She was certified and a member of the American Assn. of Christian Counsellors.
Surviving in addition to husband are two sons and wives: Thomas and Elaine Donaldson of Butler and Bruce and Susie Donaldson of Evans City; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren; also surviving are one brother and wife, H. Jack and Gail Buzard of Eau Claire, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Clinton B. Donaldson in 1997 and a brother, Carl E. Buzard in 2012.
Visitation from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Wednesday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So. Washington St., Eau Claire where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:30 PM. Private burial service at 10:00 AM Thursday at Evans City Cemetery.
