Edward Paul Pago

Edward Paul Pago Sr., 90, passed away on December 12, 2024, and went home to be with his Lord. He had been a resident at Clarion Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation Home, where he and his wife were loved and brought much joy. His presence will be greatly missed there as well. Edward grew up in Rimersburg (Wildcat) and lived in Sligo, PA, for approximately 70 years. He spent many years working as a machinist for Norton Simon Industries in Reno, PA (30 years). After that, he served as a Business Development Coordinator in the Clarion, PA, area, where he helped set up new businesses. He later retired from Conair in Reno, where he organized a lunch break Bible study and prayer group for many men. He devoted much time to his family, church, and community. He was a hardworking, upstanding man of integrity whose family always came first. He was a deacon who dedicated many years to his church in Reidsburg, PA, formerly known as Bible Baptist Church. He served as a lay minister for several months and took on roles such as choir director and set creator for numerous Bible School programs. Additionally, he volunteered his time for building projects and restorations at church camps and assisted others in his spare time. He was always ready to help his neighbors, friends, and various charities over the years. Known for his listening ear, supportive shoulder, and practical advice, he often went out of his way to lend a hand. He had a deep love for music, playing guitar and singing for many years, including performances at his church. A very intelligent man, he had a passion for learning. He was also an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying activities such as fishing, hunting, canoeing, and hiking. Additionally, he loved traveling, was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching classic movies. He was a former member of the VFW, American Legion, and Moose Lodge. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and remained in the Army Reserves for several years after his discharge. He was married to Patricia Beckwith Pago, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents and four sisters. He had two children from his first wife, Ellen Yates Pago Sullivan: Deborah Dunkle and her husband William of Harrisville, PA, and Edward Paul Pago Jr. of Seneca, PA. In addition, he had three stepchildren, Susan (Wayne) Fair, Daniel Beckwith, and Brian (Marissa) Beckwith, as well as numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and all of the lives he has touched. Ed's life will be celebrated on December 27th at 2pm at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home (201 S. Washington St.) Eau Claire.
