MARY LOU ALLGOOD MCNAUGTHON passed away September 16, 2017 at Butler Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Parker, Pa., the daughter of Rev. John E. Allgood and Mrs. Anna Mae Eisenberg Allgood. A graduate of Parker High School, Mary Lou spent her early adult life in Grove City, Pa. Among her places of employment while there were Cooper-Bessemer and Wendell August Forge.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her first husband, W. Edward McConnell. After several years as a widow she married her high school sweetheart, Charles A. McNaughton. Their years together took her to Monroeville, PA., Tantallin, MD., Ellicott City, MD., and in 1990 to Jacksonville, FL where she lived until September 2017. Mary Lou enjoyed spending summers at her family’s summer home near Tionesta, PA.

Mary Lou is survived by her nephew Charles Cramer and his wife Helen of Chicora, PA., two great nephews, Patrick Cramer and his wife Tammie and son Luke of Chicora, PA., and Adam Cramer and his wife Lisa Cramer and their daughters, Haley and Emily of Cranberry Twp., PA.

She is also survived by her stepsons, James McNaughton of Richmond, VA., and Charles McNaughton of Riverside, CA.

She is remembered fondly by many supportive friends in Jacksonville, FL. Her many close friends in Jacksonville include Rev. Dr. David Lee and his wife Susan of Highlands United Presbyterian Church as well as many of the members of that congregation. Her very special friend and care giver from Jacksonville is Mrs. Rita Outhwaite.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by brothers, Homer Allgood and Dr. John E. Allgood, Jr., Sisters, Sara Allgood Cramer and her husband Harry, Ella Allgood Conerty and her husband C. Patrick, Elizabeth Allgood Mascaro and her husband, Alfred, and Ruth Allgood.

A memorial service will be held at Highlands United Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville, FL., with a private committal service later at the Parker Presbyterian Cemetery in Parker, PA.
